Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium about
the spirit
and joy of creating art and community; and PROTECTING
THE NATURE OF MAINE about the Natural Resources
Council of Maine’s 50-year history of environmental
protection
– both of which are currently in the festival
circuit
• Directs a series of documentaries, MAINE MASTERS,
on
extraordinary Maine artists, now in its eleventh episode
with
five in production
• Chairman of the Board of the Maine Film & Video
Association
• In production on an independent documentary on WIND
POWER in the Gulf of Maine and post production
on a film
for the John F. Kennedy Center Education Department
encouraging the arts-in-education
• Distributing two documentaries produced by Richard
on
the life and art of M.C. Richards, artist, poet, author
(Centering: In Pottery, Poetry and the Person) and
sage,
selected for eight international film festivals
• Won a Cine Golden Eagle for a series of documentaries
he
produced on FACES OF MICROCREDIT – a way of combating
poverty throughout the world, for the Microcredit Summit
in
Washington, D.C. co-chaired by Hillary Clinton
• Produced, directed and wrote a short narrated by President
Bill Clinton promoting investment in technology
• Produced, directed and edited six years of the Quest
for
Excellence, an annual conference promoting excellence
in business practices, featuring Presidents Reagan,
Bush,
and Clinton including interviews with 25 CEOs
• Mentored under Producer/Director Judith Dwan Hallet
and
Director of Photography Reuben Aaronson along with
many of
the USA’s finest documentary filmmakers while
working as an
associate producer and location sound recordist for
National
Geographic, Discovery, NOVA, FRONTLINE, Smithsonian
Expeditions, CBS, HBO, National Audubon Society, National
Wildlife Federation and many others while traveling
to every
continent in the world
• Produced, directed and edited a series of Indiana
Folklife
documentaries with ethnomusicologist, author, and
folklorist, Dillon Bustin, one of which won best short
documentary at the Cork International Film Festival
and
was shortlisted for the Academy Awards
